What started in 2017 as a response to real-life challenges has grown into J & D Family Services as it exists today, J & D Family Services was created to address critical gaps in support for individuals, youth, and families navigating complex life systems. What began as a response to limited access to legal and administrative assistance has grown into a broader mission focused on stability, prevention, and long-term success. Today, our work extends beyond document support to provide comprehensive, real-world services that help individuals overcome barriers and rebuild their lives.

Our core areas of support include:

● Housing stabilization and navigation ● Transportation and access to essential services

● System navigation (courts, benefits, healthcare, and social services)

● Re-entry support for individuals transitioning from incarceration

● Youth life skills, prevention, and mentorship programming

● Legal document preparation and advocacy support (non-attorney services)

J & D Family Services was built for those who are often overwhelmed by systems that were never designed to be easy to navigate. Many of the individuals and families we serve face barriers such as limited income, lack of resources, transportation challenges, or involvement in the legal system. Our role is to provide clear, compassionate, and practical guidance—helping people move from crisis to stability. We serve individuals, youth, and families who are:

ABOUT OUR FOUNDER

Brittany L. Pelletier, BBA, CHW, CRSW, is the founder of J & D Family Services, bringing over a decade of experience navigating legal and social systems and a deep commitment to helping others rebuild, stabilize, and thrive.

Brittany L. Pelletier, Founder of J & D Family Services, holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and is a Licensed Community Health Worker (CHW) and Licensed Certified Recovery Support Worker (CRSW) in the State of New Hampshire. She brings over a decade of firsthand experience navigating the family court system—experience that is not only professional, but deeply personal.

Through years of overcoming complex legal challenges, advocating for her family, and learning systems that often feel impossible to navigate, Brittany transformed adversity into purpose. What began as a necessity—to understand and survive the system—evolved into a passion for helping others do the same.

She saw how overwhelming and inaccessible these systems can be, especially for individuals and families without the resources to hire legal support. That reality led her to create J & D Family Services—an organization rooted in compassion, resilience, and practical, real-world guidance.
